Export Overview
Vietnam’s seedless lime is widely grown in the southern provinces, particularly in Long An, Tien Giang và Can Thơ. These limes are known for their thin green skin, juicy flesh, mild sour taste, and almost no seeds, making them highly favored in both domestic and export markets.
In general, Vietnam’s seedless lime exports have been expanding steadily over the past decade, with key markets including the Middle East, EU, Russia, and neighboring Southeast Asian countries. Over the past three years, despite global logistics challenges, export volumes have continued to increase. In 2021, Vietnam exported approximately 18,000 tons of seedless lime. In 2022, export volumes rose to nearly 20,000 tons, driven by strong demand from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and European countries. In 2023, exports maintained a positive trend, reaching around 21,000 tons, supported by stable production, quality improvements, and expanding market access. Vietnamese seedless lime is highly valued for its consistent supply, competitive prices, and compliance with international standards such as GlobalGAP, reinforcing Vietnam’s position as one of Asia’s emerging seedless lime exporters.
